Real Estate Video Distribution Checklist by Channel

Prepare and distribute property videos across listing pages, social platforms, YouTube, email, ads, presentations, QR codes, and direct sharing.

Real Estate Video Distribution Checklist by Channel cover

Distribution is more than uploading the same file everywhere. Each destination changes the ideal frame, opening pace, caption length, sound assumptions, link path, and lifespan of the property information.

Prepare the master campaign package

  • Approved landscape, square, and vertical exports
  • A short property description and channel-specific captions
  • Current listing, event, registration, or contact links
  • A cover image or thumbnail for destinations that use one
  • Caption or transcript text for accessibility and silent viewing
  • The approval record, publishing owner, and review or expiration date

Listing page and property website

Use a clear landscape video near the most relevant property information. Confirm that playback works on mobile, the poster image is accurate, the page remains fast enough to use, and the contact action is visible without relying on the video alone.

Vertical social feeds

  • Use a 9:16 version with a property-first opening
  • Keep text away from interface overlays
  • Make the message understandable without sound
  • Use the post caption for supporting context and the profile or campaign link for the next action
  • Verify platform-specific advertising and disclosure requirements before posting or boosting

YouTube and video libraries

Use an accurate title, a useful description, a current property link, and a thumbnail that represents the listing. Organize property videos so outdated status is easy to find and update. Do not leave expired open-house or availability details in active descriptions.

Email, presentations, and direct sharing

Link to a stable property page rather than attaching an unnecessarily large file. In seller presentations, show the concrete formats and review process rather than promising a specific level of views or inquiries. In buyer messages, provide the complete listing context alongside the video.

Ads and paid distribution

Create a campaign-specific version with the correct destination, tracking, disclosure, geographic settings, and current property status. Check the final ad preview because platform crops and interface elements may differ from the organic post.

QR codes and printed material

Point the QR code to a stable, mobile-friendly property page that can be updated if the video or status changes. Test the printed code at the expected size and viewing distance, and avoid encoding a temporary media-file URL that may expire.

Maintain a publishing log

  • Destination and live URL
  • Version, aspect ratio, and campaign moment
  • Publication date and publishing owner
  • Tracking link or campaign identifier
  • Review, expiration, or withdrawal date
  • Status of corrections when property information changes
Distribution does not end approval
Review every property fact, image, generated scene, brand element, contact detail, and call to action before publishing. Confirm media rights and follow the advertising, disclosure, MLS, brokerage, fair-housing, and platform rules that apply to the campaign.
